Shades of Tom Paxton and Stan Rogers!
Nobody covers their songs as well as Jim does.
He has mastered both the acoustic guitar and the mandolin and uses both instruments to complement his full deep rich baritone
is also the man who stepped up, when the Fonthill Coffeehouse was about
to go defunct, took the reins and through his tireless
efforts kept it going for another 10 years, all because of his love of music. Many local performers who got their start on
the stage of the Fonthill Coffeehouse owe him a huge debt of gratitude.
When Rosemary performed at the Fonthill Coffeehouse for the first time a few short years ago, her easy charm, sense of humour, sweet
voice and mastery of the acoustic guitar immediately won the audience over. She right off became a mainstay and went
on to perform at many “open mics” and then to host a “coffeehouse night” at the café on main
in Fonthill every month last
year. Rosemary loves to jam with other musicians and has a knack for breathing new life into timeless songs such as
“Sloop John B” and “Hallelujah”. She recently recorded a cd of some of her own songs, “Strung with lights”,
at our sound man Rob Sheele's Red Sonic Studios. Guaranteed to please your ears and touch your heart!
All audio equipment and live sound mixing provided by Rob Sheele of
Red Sonic Studios in Port Colborne.
(The coffeehouse is non-profit,
simply for the love of music. All proceeds donated to charity.)
