"Simply for the love of music"
Location: The Hub (Guild Hall), 72 Charlotte St., Port Colborne, ON.
Date: 3rd. Saturday of the month.
Time: 7 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
Admission: $3.00 or whatever you can afford.
Our Goal: “Simply for the love of music”... That
says it all. The Lost Chord coffeehouse
has been established as a laid-back venue where folks of all ages can
come and enjoy music provided by musicians who are willing
to play (without renumeration) for the simple enjoyment of the
audience. Although The Lost Chord coffeehouse encourages
aspiring talent as well as seasoned musicians to attend and register to
perform if they so wish, it is not an “open
mic” venue per se. Here, at The Lost Chord, what is important to
us is to
provide affordable quality entertainment for the audience in a strictly
not-for-profit venue. The audience comes first.
The Lost Chord reserves the right to decide who performs, at what time,
how many songs, and who will be “featured”
on any given evening. We strive to be as democratic as possible in the allocation
of performance time-slots hoping the musicians who do register to
perform will understand that there are time constraints and that
they may not get a chance to perform on any given night. (NOTE: The names
of all the performers who sign up are placed in a hat. The "luck of the draw" determines
the order of performances!)
We also beseech you to PLEASE be quiet during
performances. We thank you for your support, patience and understanding.
OCTOBER 2016: Buzz (Bob) and Bernie Roberts have taken over the operation of the coffeehouse
and ask for your continued support to ensure the ongoing success of this worthwhile venture.
Musicians register at the door. The opening act starts at 7:15 p.m., followed by
performances from registered musicians (typically 2 songs each).
Coffee, tea, soft drinks and bottled water as well as
pizza by the slice and baked goods available on-site for a nominal fee.
